This surveillance camera has a 1/3 Sony© 960H Double Density (Double Scan) CCD and Effio-P© Chipset for super high resolution, crystal clear imaging at 700 TV lines or more. It provides a high intensity single-point infrared LED for night time operation.
Dynamic Noise Reduction
Noise creeps into video signals from a wide variety of sources. Sometimes noise originates from an unstable power supply and sometimes it comes from spurious activity in the image pickup device. Dynamic noise reduction technology incorporates a variety of methods to eliminate noise, which can appear as grains or static, or blurred video. You can set up noise reduction through the OSD menu. These features are labeled as DNR, 2DNR, and 3DNR, depending on the product, and may include SMART DNR as well. This camera includes 2DNR and 3DNR noise reduction.
Wide Dynamic Range
Wide dynamic range or digital wide dynamic range (WDR and DWDR, respectively) are advanced forms of image compensation. Both features, which are part of the chipset and adjustable through the OSD menu, protect video images by filtering out high levels of backlight while preserving foreground colors & luminance values. In action, dynamic range activity captures two images one with short exposure and one with longer exposure and combines them digitally or through an analog process in order to keep the best qualities. This camera features true wide dynamic range.
